Starting Graduate School Soon

I am quickly approaching a transition period in my life. Starting in mid-May, I will be working as a graduate research assistant with Dr. Arjun Krishnan in the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science, and Engineering. My initial research focus will be two implementations of machine learning on biological problems. The first two projects that I will be working on are projects from two undergraduates who have been working with Dr. Krishnan but ar eleaving post-graduate this May. My goal for the Summer of 2019 is to finish these up and hopefully get manuscripts written. The projects are very cool, so I will be posting about them more once I get started.

As I finish up my education research with CMSE, there are a few notable things still to wrap up. I recently submitted one paper and am in the process of finishing another one up. If all goes well, I’ll have two (first-author) papers published by the end of this Summer! Plus, if I can finish these projects as I hope to, then there’s the potential for 4 papers this year. That’s crazy.

I would love to talk more about my papers, but the review process of the journals that we have submitted ot is very strict on anonymization, which means I can’t talk about them anywhere until the review is finished. Once I have the go-ahead, I would like to post some discussion here.
